Montauk.

This weekend we make the ultimate Long Island ride, The Ride To The End. “The End” is what they call Montauk Point. It literally is the end of Long Island. It is marked by a Lighthouse that was commissioned by George Washington himself. It is a long ride but an amazing and fun trip. We have done it Annually for almost 20 years now and many different riders have joined us on many different bikes and scooters. It is a Scooter Club that we are and as a result we will be avoiding Highways. Not that most of our Scooters arent Highway capable. Some of our riders are not. LOL. Besides, highways are not our thing anyways. Who wants to look at blurry trees for 4 hours?

Here are some of the things you should know…

  • Dress in layers, we will run into different temps on the way out east.
  • We will be stopping for Gas and breaks, only as needed.
As always if you need to stop just beep your horn and lets us know.
  • We will be having Lunch in Montauk after we reach “The End”.
  • Montauk Point is a State Park. They charge for everything. Parking is $8. Entry into the Lightouse is also $8. If you have a problem with that, STAY HOME.
  • It is always important to keep up. Do not create long distances between bikes.
One or Two bike lengths is perfect, 500 feet is not. We have a long way to go and a short time to get there and we are not waiting at every traffic light for you, if you can not keep up.
  • It is our plan to get home before dark.

We meet up at 8AM at:
Town Bagel Shop. Kickstands up at 9am Sharp.
1135 Old Country Rd, Plainview, NY 11803, United States
Try to arrive with a full tank. See you Sunday!
