Rain, Rain, go away…

It has been a disappointing Summer so far. Almost every Sunday has had Rain or Rain forecast. We still meet up at Town Bagel for breakfast but it riding that we want to do! As previous post have covered, you have to be part weatherman to be a good Scooterist. We have always met on Sunday, but we may have to do some rides on other days. We re always open to suggestion and everyone is free to organize a ride, just make sure you invite us all! The best place to that is on our Facebook Page. Post your plans there and we will promote it and put it on this website. We are working on it too, so stand by!

10 Years After…

We have been getting reports of some major Scooter Manufacturers not wanting to work on Scooters more the 10 Years old. Suzuki & Honda are 2 companies, we are working to confirm Yamaha’s status. 10 Years is not a long time considering that these manufactures sell Scooter that can approach $10,000! You would think that after spending that kind of money, the dealer would stand behind their product, but no! At one time we had so many Suzuki Burgmanns in the club that we almost became a Burgmann club. This also is affecting our Honda Silverwing owners. Now many of these members can not find a place to get their services done, rendering the Scooters useless. If you are thinking about getting an older Burgmann or Silverwing, think twice. We will soon be posting some alternatives to the Dealers to get your Scooter worked on.

The Suffolk Swarm…

We added a new meet up spot in Suffolk. Dunkin Donuts at 694 Motor Parkway in Hauppauge, right off the LIE Service Road at Exit 55. We meet there on Sundays at 9am. When the weather allows. I am getting tired of saying that, BTW… Then we ride over to the original meet up spot in Nassau at Town Bagel for Breakfast and to ride when the weather lets us. We meet there at 10am as usual. We are growing and LI is pretty big, so we are making it easier for our members in Suffolk to meet up. If you prefer Dunkin for Breakfast, just get there a little earlier.
